Council on Islamic Affairs

The members of the Islamic Affairs council will be appointed by the National Council. These members must meet at least one of the following criteria.

1. A certificate of qualification from an Islamic University.
2. A qualification to teach Islam
3. Permit to give religious sermons
4. Qualified as a Hafiz
5. A pass in an Imam or Quran teaching course.

The responsibility of the Islamic Affairs council is to increase the awareness of Islam, encourage good deeds, discourage bad deeds and advise the Party on religious matters. The council will be led by the President, who will be elected from among the council members. A Vice President must also be elected.
