The Maldivian Democratic Party joins the world, in mourning the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Maldivians will remember her fondly, and we will always be grateful for her decades of loyal service to public life. As a small nation, the Maldives is especially grateful for her immense and unparalleled contribution to the Commonwealth, throughout her long life and reign. Her Majesty was instrumental in nurturing the association of, and cooperation between the Commonwealth countries.
